Founder of Rob the Brit, with a lifelong passion for music, technology and great design.
Rob’s journey started with a love of sound and a commitment to doing things the right way. After years of hands-on work in high-end audio and custom system design, he founded Rob the Brit to bring personal service and premium performance to every project.
Today Rob the Brit is a trusted name in Tampa Bay for outdoor audio, home theaters, whole-home audio and smart homes.

There are two companies behind the name: Rob the Brit Home Theaters, Inc. and Rob the Brit, LLC, our install crew. You can see and hear the gear in our Odessa showroom before you buy, and you’ve probably spotted our Union Jack vans around town.

Who is Rob the Brit?
Rob the Brit Home Theaters was founded by Rob Thorpe. The company has designed and installed home theaters, audio and smart homes across Tampa Bay since 2006.
Is Rob the Brit licensed and insured?
Yes. We are licensed in Florida and insured.
Will you beat a price from another store?
Send us the price and we’ll do better. It has to be the same model, new and in stock at an authorized US retailer. See the terms.
Do you offer military pricing?
Yes. Military families get BaseX pricing, plus 5% off select items. Just mention it when you book.
How does pricing work?
The design visit is free. After it, you get a written proposal with a few package options at different price points, so you can choose what fits your budget.
Can I see and hear it before I buy?
Yes. Our showroom at 8811 Gunn Highway in Odessa has a working theater room, speakers to compare side by side and TVs on the wall. Drop in Monday to Saturday, between 10 am and 6 pm.
Who does the installation?
Our own crew, Rob the Brit, LLC. Look for the Union Jack vans.
